Education is one of the primary requisites that contribute to the holistic development process of self and society. Article21-A of the Constitution of India ensures “free and compulsory education of all children in the age group of six to fourteen years as a Fundamental Right.” In India, the majority of the population lives in villages, and the most viable option for accessing education for marginalized sections of society in rural areas is in government schools. Read more . . .

Meet the woman representative Santosh from a gram panchayat of village Raniaki in district Nuh in Haryana who is a catalyst and a changemaker in her village. Her efforts have promoted girl's education and has given them wings to fly.

Webinar Mental Health and CR
Ms. Pooja O. Murada, principal lead, Outreach for Development was invited for a webinar presentation on Mental Well Being & Role of CRS on Nov 3, 2020, organized by the Federation of Community Radio Stations (FCRS). Pooja shared about the radio program on mental health and how radio has created a safe space to express issues relating to mental well-being and to recognize its importance.

Launch of a new radio project 
Community radio Alfaz-e-Mewat FM 107.8 launched a new radio series supported by the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC), Hyderabad, on the government welfare programs operating to help marginalized communities during pandemic. CDAC, under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, runs a platform called Vikaspedia that shares information on national and state-level government programs in different languages.
